SUPERSOUL 300-hour Advanced Yoga Training
Bhakti Yoga

& special guest teachers

India, December 30, 2019 - January 25, 2020

Tuition is $5,595 USD by December 1st.

In this unprecedented teacher training meant for advanced students, 200-hour certified teachers, and those who are in love with yoga lifestyle and Bhakti yoga, you will study the deeper facets of yoga culture --
topics which are rarely taught in the West.

This is a Cultural Immersion Bhakti Training -- a residential program in India for 3 consecutive weeks.

This course has been designed as a yoga culture University -- where you will have the opportunity to study all things related to yogic culture with the intention of incorporating them into a personal and teaching practice.

Raghunath and your consummately qualified presenters are all educated in Bhakti Yoga as taught within the centuries-old Vaisnava lineage. Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of love & devotion, teaches that yoga is more than a physical practice and instead, is rooted in an entire culture. This culture is based in self-transformation -- turning all that you do away from selfish interest and towards a joyous spiritual offering.  This is the first time such a training for yogis has been offered as an all-inclusive course, presenting the cornerstone cultural elements which will enrich your teaching offering as well as your own life.

This program is open to advanced students, 200-hour certified teachers, and those who are in love with yoga lifestyle and Bhakti yoga, you don’t have to be an ‘experienced’ or ‘advanced’ yogi or yoga teacher — your enthusiasm for the course content is the most important thing. This course, along with additional course work before the training begins and a seva project after, will qualify you for a 300-hour certification with Yoga Alliance. Those with 200-hour certification (or those who plan to complete one in the future) can then apply for 500-hour accreditation with Yoga Alliance.

Kirtan & Music Teacher

Janeswar grew up singing and playing kirtan. He is a master at leading kirtan and a gifted teacher who has been practicing bhakti from a very young age. His music training took place at the Bhaktivedanta Gurukul (traditional vedic education system) under the well known mridanga (drum) teacher Radha Govinda Pal. Later on, Janeshwar traveled to the holy village of Vrindavan where he took the vows of a monk and did selfless service at the famous 24-hour Kirtan Mandali for several years. Today he travels around India playing for Kirtan Festivals. Under his tutelage, students will learn the best and traditional way of drumming (on the mrdanga clay drum) and will leave with the skills needed to accompany kirtans.

His style of music is a blend of modern influences with the ancient art of kirtan, creating a unique sound. Madhu travels internationally and hosts mantra meditation workshops, enlivening and energizing communities with his music. The driving force behind his enthusiasm for what he does is the desire to have kirtan appreciated by all types of people.

Mādhurī Pūra Dāsa offers Kirtan music training lessons for learning how to lead and participate in Kirtan, vocal and instrument training, and the history and philosophy of Kirtan for beginner,  intermediate and advanced level. Training Facilitator & Yoga Teacher

Alexandra's yoga journey began in her childhood, when during summer breaks in Romania she would meditate alongside her aunt who taught her practices in forgiveness, focused breathing, and energetic visualization. In her teens she took her first yoga asana class and was hooked, finding the practice perfectly suited her passion for movement and dedication to spirituality. After four years of university in Paris, she returned to New York where she immersed herself in the yogic path with over 1,000 hours of training and teaching various communities since 2010. Alexandra’s classes are dynamic and uplifting, weaving together creative sequencing, intuitive alignment, mind-clarifying breath-work, the science of Kundalini, and poetic prompts informed by the Bhakti path to invoke a deep inner connection. She is honored to share and facilitate the experience of Bhakti yoga, a path which she believes offers invaluable remedies for the dis-eases of modern life.
She bows to the many teachers who have guided her ever-closer to understanding yoga, the divine, and how to be of service; namely: her mother and aunt, Raghunath, Dhanurdhara Swami, His Holiness Radhanath Swami, and His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Facilities & Tuition

We will stay at the award-winning Govardhan Eco Village, a 70-acre sustainable farming community and retreat center on the foothills of the Sahyadhri Mountains, 108km north of Mumbai, created and directed by the monk disciples of Radhanath Swami.

When you visit GEV, you will experience a community that is a successful fusion between ancient Vedic wisdom and modern science.

The focus at GEV is learning how to live in harmony with the environment, developing a ‘spiritual ecology’ that can bring about tangible, positive changes within ourselves – and how we interact with the planet.

The GEV community is comprised of monks (in the Krishna Bhakti tradition) and residents who have created a sustainable center to host yoga and wellness retreats as well as seminars. This cutting-edge, environmentally savvy village implements green technologies like permaculture farming, water harvesting, cob buildings, rammed earth buildings, gray water treatment, solar power and bio-fuel energy systems. Ours hosts provide all the accommodations, beddings and meals prepared with vegan and gluten free options -- and cooked with love.

I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to have been a part of this 300-hour program. This program helped me grow not only as a yoga practitioner and teacher, but as a person. This is a transformational experience that deepened my understanding of the yoga principals and helped engrain in me the teachings so I am able to incorporate them into my daily life. This program goes far beyond the text and asks you to look inside yourself. In a community we share universal truths that help lift each other up. Raghu, our fearless leader is genuine, kind, and has a breadth of understanding of of the ancient stories that he shares in such away that the these stories become part of you, not to mention can lead an ecstatic kirtan. Has a way of attracting a powerful and knowledgable team and students. The days are long and inspiring. From before the sun rises to long after the sun sets (and if you are lucky you will watch the moon rise) you are surrounded by passionate and compassionate teachers and fellow students. I could go on about the beautiful and peaceful setting of the Eco Village, that helpful and devoted staff, the friendly and lovable cows...This is a heart-filling experience that is unlike any other. I will be forever grateful for it.
— Anne P., Yoga Teacher, Boston
This experience was transformational. It is difficult for me to condense it into words.
It was such a privilege to spend a whole month immersed in bhakti culture with an abundance of highly respected teachers.
It felt like a spiritual calibration of sorts. I returned home with a great big wide open heart, not to mention more clarity, focus, and strength. It was quite literally life-changing and the lessons learnt resonated so strongly that I carry them with me throughout daily life.
I can’t imagine a more perfect setting. The eco-village facilities are more than adequate and the gardens provide a spectacular backdrop.
The training itself was challenging (all facets - asana and otherwise) but accessible for various levels of experience. I felt well supported, particularly when grappling with some of the philosophy. The teachers were always generous with their time and energy, sharing wisdom from a place of authenticity and compassion.
I would recommend this course without hesitation to anyone who is interested in further exploring bhakti.
— Sarah, Melbourne, Australia
No better teacher, no better place.

The 300 hour advanced teacher training with Raghunath not only upgraded my yoga practice, it upgraded my life. Each morning, my heart awoke with bliss for the morning satsang full of sacred sounds. I’m forever grateful to have received such divine teachings from the best spiritual teachers of our time in the holiest of places. I hope to continue this inspiration onto my students.
— Laura R., Teacher, Columbia
Doing my teacher training with Raghu was unforgettable! Not only did I learn a great deal about asana, but also so much about the other aspects of yoga! Truly an awesome and life changing experience!
— Dustin Horan, owner of Dead Presidents Lounge Tattoos, Albany, NY
The Supersoul 300 hour teacher training doesn’t teach you what yoga is, it teaches you how to become yoga. Many times I’ll think about how I debated doing this teacher training and now I realize how lucky I am to have taken it. As a beginner yoga teacher, people along the way tried to explain to me what yoga is. Raghunath was there for us 24/7 including answering to our texts at 2am. He slowly went from being a teacher to becoming our family and our guide. This teacher training gave me the tools I needed to become better me.
— Mattan Sharvit, Yoga Teacher, New York / Israel
